Is this gravy boat silver or just plated? It was my grand parents and I'm not sure how old it is.
I don't think I linked these correctly? Trying to figure out imgur?

    Hi,
Looks like IS which made a heck of a lot of silverplate. I see no marks for sterling.

Wilcox (International Silver) without the word sterling means it's silver plate.

That's what I figured but the other thread here with the owl is silver?
Anyway any ideal of the age of this gravy boat? Oh it has a ladel too.

Yes, that is confusing. Different countries have different marking systems.
Some countries have systems that are under government control, with assay offices that are responsible for marking. That is not the case in the US, but it is in Britain.
The owl is a British piece, and is marked with the British lion passant (walking lion), an official guarantee that the marked item is sterling silver. The other marks indicate the town it was made in, the date, and the maker.

20th century, for sure. And likely mid-20th, so not antique.

Which "owl" thread are you referring to?

I figured that one was most likely, but did not want to presume. ;)
