    hi folks

found this the other day, only plated but liked the design of it
not sure what you would call it

would it be art nouveau period, or just in style ?

the mark says JBC then something that is unreadable

polished a little portion near the price tag, and looks like it will come up nice

has lots of wax inside bowl area and on foot

measures 8 inches by 7 inches

    any thoughts appreciated

I'm afraid you're looking at the wrong category of marks. This item is silverplated, not sterling. There is an entirely different list for the marks on silver plate.

But the Chatterley company does not appear to have had silverplate marks.

Please forgive me, I did not go far enough down the rabbit hole or the extensive list of silver plate marks. Chatterley it is!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Beautiful -- Was there any problem getting the wax off?

    Thanks fig :)

    Nah easy peasey

Just scraped it off with a wooden ice lolly stick so it wouldn't scratch
And the bits just broke off luckily
