Featured Silverplate coffee (?) pot. Partial marks... TAPPL....FOR and ...rste

    Any help with the maker of this piece or date? Such an unusual design. The bottom reminds me of a space shuttle.

    If anyone has thoughts on the name that ends in .... rste. (I think "r" but could be "b", although less likely. The "ste" is pretty clear.)

    Also what era for this piece?

    When you see those long-legged Aesthetic pieces with the angular elements, they'll date circa 1870s, give or take a few years either way...

    Maybe that's what I meant! When I was photographing it and setting it back down, it looked like it was making a landing on Mars, lol.
