Silverplate or Sheffield plate and ... who's the daddy?

    I found the sugar and creamer in a local ReStore. The mark is a cannon and according to the sources I found and the smalls person at the ReStore saw it could be Wilkin of Sheffield or Charles Green Co of Birmingham. There's also a U stamp, possibly a pattern marker. Both of those would be silverplate. But the pieces weigh a ton. I figured the piece paid was close to scrap for the copper these days.

    It's worn back to the copper in some spots, so there's no point in testing it. :)

    Sorry I could not find anything related to a "Wilkin" of Sheffield.

    Your mark, as well as the two shown on silvercollection.it, look like Charles Green to me, there are usually a good number of variants in manufacturer's marks...

    Possible. I guess it's a later copy of earlier work.
