Google image is showing me examples of Simon Gate for Orrefors on this glass but not this exact scene.

What do you think? Also need help describing the scene in the etching. Finally, would I call this a "champagne" glass? Thanks!

Bronwen finds the imagery strange from the viewpoint of someone who mainly knows classical Greek & Roman mythology. A female archer naturally puts one in mind of Artemis/Diana. She is sometimes depicted with her brother Apollo, but he was also an archer, not a spearsman. There are versions of mythology that have her hunting with Orion, so perhaps this is he. In my world placing figures in the clouds suggests they are on Olympus, as Artemis is, or in the heavens, as Orion came to be. My other thought is that they are from Nordic myth, out of my realm.

I admire the duck for heading the other way.

    Ha, what a coincidence...
Watching a rerun of Bargain Hunt, and one of the bonus buys is a liquor set by Simon Gate for Orrefors :)

Nordic is a thought, and maybe also Celtic. You’ve made me think, especially with that goose in flight.
