Looking around in our storage building and came across a box lot of Slewed Horseshoe punch cups. Washing them today I realized I have 2 different types and am wondering who may have made each type. Any ideas?

The one on the left is slightly taller: 2 3/8" vs 2 1/4"

The one on the left's handle is notched, the other clear.

The one on the left has a patterned bottom, the other is clear.

I'm assuming both are repros, but curious about the differences.

    Thanks for your help!

Thanks so much! From what I could read on the info, the original cup is the size of mine on the left. But the handle, although notched, on the original is slightly different. It swoops outward and upward, where mine is more C shaped.

I'm wondering who did the repros and if there's a way to date them?

I am fairly certain that L E Smith did that pattern as well. Perhaps check there?

Thanks, TallCakes and Messilane. None of mine react to black light. I think they notched handle ones may be Indiana, but I haven't seen any with the clear handle and cup bottom.

    U. S. Glass Co. made this originally, ca. 1900 and again in the 1950s. The punch cups may well have come from a new mold in the second iteration.

This does not contradict anything anyone else wrote, just adds to the confusion.
