Small apple

    Hi,
    does anyone have any idea about this small apple purpose?
    There are no hallmarks on it except the letter PELT engraved in the bottom. The E has some kind of a star behind it.

    Yes it does. The apple is about 5cm high.

    Trinket box. Is the metal thick and heavy or thin and lightweight? It kind of looks like it might be pewter. It would be nice if you'd show a picture of the marks on the bottom, hint hint.

    Laura nailed it. There are many on ebay in brass if you want to see what others hae listed.

    5 cm is about 2 inches. Oh that is tiny! Maybe a ring box.

    Maybe just a decor item to set out or perhaps to hold teeny tiny trinkets.

    It is very soft and thin. It actually moves and loses shape if I'm not careful.
