    I decided to post this in this category in hopes that I can get the silver & the glass folks to look at this bottle. :happy::happy:

    I tried looking around but found nothing like this one. Possibly a barber bottle or perfume bottle? :confused::confused::confused:

    I think it had a stopper of some sorts at one time that attached to a chain which was attached to the ring on the band. The band is marked as is the collar. I have shown the band, but the collar was impossible to capture. It is marked with the lion mark only.

    The feel of the glass is incredibly smooth & it has some weight to it so every time I pick it up I feel like it is going to slide right out of my hand.

    It is 6 1/8" tall to the top & is 3 3/4" acoss the bottom portion.

    Thanks for any & all advice or opinions!!! :kiss::kiss::kiss:

    Susan - thank you so much!!! :kiss::kiss:

    I thought it was an English mark, but the anchor turned sideways kind of threw me off.

    So this piece is from c.1887 for sure? :wideyed::wideyed:

    I believe so, Peggy. That particular shape for the n is pretty distinctive and looks nothing like the ones that were used more recently.

    Now all I need is for someone to ID the glass pattern. :smuggrin::smuggrin:

    However, I feel fairly certain that I will do okay with my $14.00 investment. :rolleyes::rolleyes::smug::smug: :hilarious::hilarious:

    Thank you again!!! :kiss::kiss::kiss:

    That one is 1887 too! Too bad there's no picture of the marks.

    No, but CS FS could easily be Cornelius Saunders/Frank Shepherd.

    I'm just endorsing. Wouldn't have had a clue without the Tennant's link. :)
