    Hi all :joyful:

I got this little crawling Balakrishna sometimes ago in a lot with other metal pieces.

    5.5cm (2") long.
    4.5cm (1.5/8") high.

The patina colour is warm, his left forearm was broken and metal on the break was not bright.

I replaced the lacking limb:nurse: with polymer clay, modeled and baked, then matched the colour with permanent marker.:D

@Any Jewelry, do you think too he is an antique?

'The divine naughtiness of Krishna' is a phrase that got stuck in my mind from reading nearly 50 years ago. Finally got a chance to use it. :joyful:

He is lovely, and a truly wonderful repair job, kyra. And great photos!
Did you give him an extra butterball too, or is that my eyesight? Maybe a reward for his divine butt?:playful::hilarious: Or consolation for his suffering?
I think he is not antique, but antiqued, nicely patinated. The lines are pretty sharp. Some age, maybe 1970s.

Another divine butt, a little Hindu God on a Balinese buffalo horn and bone keris hilt:

    I forgot his name...:(
He is on show in our living room, front view, but I do turn him around every now and then.:D

This conversation has reminded me to post an item of mine. Will have to go in general antiques discussion as there does not seem to be a category for tobacciana, but another cute little baby backside is involved.

My little Hindu God can't grow up, because he will be killed by his vicious brother if he does. So he stays an infant and protects little children. The name will come to me, I hope.....

If your brain is like mine, it will pop up when you're trying to recall something else altogether.

Yep, I tried to give him a well deserved extra butter ball, while adjusting the balance before baking the ball went flat! So, from an other view it looks like he has a boxing glove:facepalm:
Thank you for your opinion about era:kiss:

Doesn't look too bad, I recognized the butter ball.:) Besides, he will probably want a boxing glove if he ever runs into the blackguard who broke his arm.:punch::punch:

That's the way it often goes. This time I had to look him up, it is Rare Kumare, one of the sons of Shiva and Parvati. The evil brother is Kala, who mended his wicked ways after the intervention of a powerful Dalang (Wayang puppeteer, this is the Javanese version of the story;)). Rare Kumare decided to stay small for the children.
There is a lesson in this of course: No use trying to kill your little brother, a powerful Dalang will inevitably intervene.
