Small Brown Oriental Pot on Wood Stand

    Picked this up from an estate sale. The pot stands 2 1/4" tall. ound on top, octagon on the bottom. Not sure if it is Chinese or Japanese.

    I don't see any reason why the pot is of Asian origin. Lots of things end up on stands like this one that were not made for each other. If someone wanted to make a stand for this pot, it would have been made with an opening of the same shape.

    Thanks Bakers. This was in a lot of similar looking oriental things. Some were marked , but this was not.
