Featured Small Circle of Leaves Brooch Queen Victoria

    Hi,
    I have this small brooch - 1 3/4"W, the pin sticks out an extra 1/4". Queen Victoria in the centre under glass - I think this is painted.
    Maybe a souvenir brooch?
    Any information appreciated.

    Maybe a mourning piece? For the Queen's death? That would securely date it.

    Is there something symbolic of mourning in the ivy leaves? (At least I *think* those are ivy.)

    Ivy was used for mourning, but this could be a Golden Jubilee piece too. The image is printed. The long pin makes me think earlier rather than later, so it's less likely to be from the Diamond Jubilee. The longer the pinstem the older the brooch as a rule.

    They look ivy to me. Ivy symbolises fidelity, so I suspect Jubilee piece.
