Small Cloisonné Pot & Jade Carving

    What is the carving supposed to be, a rock?
    Machine or hand tool marks?

    Is it secured into the pot? Can you show a picture of that?

    The pot is typical of jade tree decorations.
    I've never seen anything like that.

    IMG_9134.JPG IMG_9136.JPG IMG_9137.JPG IMG_9138.JPG The bottom part have two holes, secured to the base with strings or wires. There is a hole in the middle of the rock where I guess the stem of jade tree or plant can go. Found a similar one but the rock is separate from the tree:

    The stone is hard but I suspect serpentine or so. Also, very suspicious yellow spots, almost all seems to have tiny cracks filled with something black. Probably dyed and the black covers the cracks?

    I think that is part of the natural coloring of the stone.
    I have seen that before.
    I don't think it is filled and dyed.

    Yes, looks like serpentine. As cluttered said, the natural stone, not dyed or filled.
