I found this at the GW this afternoon. The signature looks vaguely familiar. I think there may have been a post about it before or I have seen it in a shop somewhere. It certainly has artistic flair. I don't recognize the subject, it is not a place I have visited. It looks like a monument of some sort. I am guessing it is was done in the 1920's. There is no useful info on the back, just the remains of a label. Any help would be greatly appreciated. IMG_1428.jpg IMG_1429.jpg IMG_1430.jpg IMG_1431.jpg

The subject is the Scott monument in Edinburgh. In the background are the contours of the buildings along the Royal Mile. The statue inside the monument is of sir Walter Scott, the writer.

You may well be right re 1920s. Female figures in short skirts, drop waists and hats.

The monument was built in the 1840s.
