Small Glass Hinged Box

    Savvy*Spyglass*Treasures Fancy Endeavours. That's my user ID on eBay now.

    This is the size of a Limoges box but I am stumped because it is glass. It also has the brass hinge and clasp similar to a Limoges box. Does anyone recognize this? Can you give me some good keywords to describe it?

    I can find no marks, of course. It measures about 4" x 2" x 2".

    Hi Juli - reminds me of an oyster. Just off the top of my head I'd probably title it something like Oyster Shaped Crystal Box with Butterfly Clasp. I'm not sure the clasp is brass, though, or that the box has any real age to it.

    Thanks, Don! Yes, oyster is the shape that is for sure. All I know about the metal is that a magnet does not stick to it. :)

    Oh, I got the dimensions wrong. It's only 1 3/8" tall.
