The resale I regularly go to asked for some help pricing items. They must be desperate to ask me. :) I was able to find most everything in the sold prices on ebay, but this small, maybe 6 or 7 inch tall piece had an unusually thick silver handle, rim and spout. Maybe it's plate and that's why it is so thick. The pitcher itself seems to be cut crystal. I didn't want them to underprice it, so if you have any thoughts about it's origin, I would appreciate it. I can look up the price. Based on the size, I'm think syrup.

Possibly for pouring cream? The glass does appear to be cut, however, does the top have a screw/jar-type fixing?

Given its size, I'd say its a cream jug.

Maybe you should post to the glass forum, and just cross reference your threads. Or if you like I can move it for you.

I wasn't sure where to post it. The glass part may be the important piece, but I thought the silver was what was most important. If you think that is best, please move it.

That would be wonderful. It's one of the American Cancer Society shops, so it's for a good cause.

That’s the problem when I price something for them. It becomes no longer a bargain. We were discussing a piece of jewelry by a famous designer. I looked it up and even on Etsy the piece was going to $145. We agreed on $75. So no bargains for me when they ask for help.

Well I don't volunteer to pay more when I find something that is underpriced, when they price it and I want it, so not an angel by any means. :):):):):):) It's only when they ask for my help or I spot something underpriced that I don't want will I tell them what I found about possible value, so they can make their own decisions.

first try to determine if this is cut lead crystal or ABP cut glass; Black-Light Testing – The House of Brilliant Glass

the motifs here looks to be zippers, circles and x's. you might scan some of the catalogs on cut glass websites or check with an ABP facebook group.

may be that the somewhat similars on the links provided may help in pricing, considering no luck locating maker's marks...
