These pieces came in a lot with the pomegranate thing I have posted in another thread.

They are both totally hollowed out inside.

The pear shaped piece has a large (1/4" across) & 2 small (1/16" & 1/8" across) holes. It is very lightweight (0.5 oz.) & feels like very smooth wood. It is 2 1/4" top to bottom.

The horn shaped piece I think is an actual horn with a wood bottom. The bottom appears to be nailed in place. It has a small (between 1/16" & 1/8" across) hole at the top. It is 3 3/8" top to bottom & is 2" by 1" across the bottom.

komokwa The Truth is out there...!

The pear is a lovely gourd.
The horn is ( possibly..) an old, old style flat powder horn.....likely bovine.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

My thoughts also on the horn...would have had a small wooden plug for the hole at the point. Awfully small though!
