Small metal "bowl" marked SVENSKT TENN

    Welcome, Collector! If this were silver and not pewter (which it definitely is), the G8 would be the date mark for 1933. I have a vague recollection that the same date table was used for both silver and pewter, but I don't really trust that memory this early in the morning. ;) I'll have to do some searching to confirm it.

    This lovely pewter bowl is designed and cast by the Swedish jeweller Harald Linder in the town of Uddevalla on the west coast of Sweden. The hallmark show the letters HL in a shield.

    The letter U in a circle indicates Uddevalla and G8 indicates the year 1933.

    Harald Linder worked between 1926-1993, or at least his company.
