Small ornate lidded silver pot with mintmarks

    Does anyone have any information about this cute silver pot?

    It's about 5.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches high. The circumference is 13 inches.

    I'm not sure what kind of stain/mark is on the bottom. Anyone ever see one like it before?

    I had similar:
    Milk Jug Silver Plate EPNS Rattan Handle James E Bushnell-a.jpg

    and was told it had the traditional form of a Guernsey or Jersey milk jug. Mine was EPNS by James Bushell.

    Although the first 2 letters of this maker's mark have been obscured by what looks like drops of solder, the style tells me there is a very good chance this cute pot was made by E.G. Webster and Son of the US. Silverplated.

    The Webster firm used several maker's marks, but here is the one that looks like a match to the pot.

    Maybe a jeweler was using it as a place to collect silver solder.
