Small painting 3 initials only

This small painting was at the thrift store for about 2 days, I finally decided to get it because it was only 50 cents. I know it doesn't look like anything special but you never know.
Anybody recognize the artist style or initials ?

I agree with Silverthwait, the picture has got ‘something’ good about it. Doesn’t look like an amateur work to me, the composition works.

 

I'm not seeing what others are (hey, there are wellknown painters that I simply don't get, it's not an insult to anyone), but when you say it's "small," how small?

 

It seems like the frame is older than the painting? The painting is nice but i expect it to maybe be by someone who knew how to paint but not really well known.

 

A friend of mine is an artist who never had any formal training but she’s a painters painter, we artists get her work but many don’t
Took me while to appreciate Matisse but I never liked Kandinsky, horses for courses I suppose.
