Small Spelter Box

    Small spelter trinket box i am assuming. measures 3 7/8" long, 2 1/4" wide and 1 5/8" tall. Anybody have any idea of when and where this came from?

    These were made for years and years. You see Victorian ones and ones made in Japan in the 70's. They are usually called jewelry coffins or caskets. Prices really vary. Google or go on eBay and look for vintage antique metal jewelry coffins. We have had good luck selling them at the flea market. Don't make a lot of money but everyone we have had has sold.
