I was told to soak a stained antique quilt topper in Biz to remove the stains.

    How long should I soak?
    Warm or cold water??

Im afraid of tattering the ends even more.
I was told to roll it up in a sheet, tie it off in sections and wash it that way.
    Any tips/suggestions on that?

Im half tempted to just turn the edges under and finish them off on a sewing machine (terrible?)

Fabric was meant to be washed. Older fabric can be fragile.
    Biz or Borax.
However, I would only use cold water if you decide to do it.
This looks like bleeding color from the red. Is it?
