Edit: It looks good for silver but a couple blurry pics can be deceiving. Someone pricing it at $125 in a shop would lead me to believe they thought it was silver. I’m lead to believe that person had a good eye based on other stuff. Not sure on this one though.

I would associate the crescent moon and star mark with an Islamic country.
However I found this on a silver forum.

Moon and star mark was used by the Manhattan Silver Plate Company located in Lyons, New York.

They were incorporated in 1877 as the successor to the Manhattan Plating Company.

They became part of the International Silver Company in 1898. This mark was not used after 1904.

Good call Davey. I thought it looked like a north african silver mark.

Not at all like Manhattan Silver Plate's mark - those are rubbed, upside-down Egyptian marks, 1946+ lotus-blossom, my eyes are too bad to make out anything else, maybe .800 fineness...

I agree, Egyptian lotus, the .800 mark on the left, both upside down. The mark on the right looks like the mark for 1978, but right side up, which would be unusual.

Thanks guys for your help on this! The seller had it listed as plated but I suspected differently. I appreciate your help in figuring it out for sure. It’s a tiny little coaster type tray so even knowing it’s silver its still a little pricey unless the maker happens to be good. I’ll let you know if I get it though.

Figured I would update this one. I ended up buying this for under $1! They had shipping at over $10. I had bought something else from the same seller so I ended up with free shipping. Not too shabby!
