Thrift purchase. What would this would have been used for? Also curious about the maker.

It has a dent on the reverse, so might not be worth more than scrap, but wanted to check.

    Thanks for taking a look!

I doubt muffineer. They're usually bigger than what I see in relation to Lucille's hand.

Desperate, I'll look high and low for a sterling muffineer so you can use the word!

This guy is 5" tall, so maybe salt shaker?

I can list with maker's name, the dent is actually fairly minor. We'll see how it does.

Appreciate the help here! (As always!)

Could be either salt or pepper, but with the current trend for fresh-cracked pepper, salt might be more appealing.

Learning from this thread for sure. I think I have my grandmothers silver salt and pepper shakers here. BUT- not sure if they are real good stuff. Have to hunt around here to see where they might be.

I sold a muffiner, though not sterling. It was a coin dot cranberry one. Pretty.

I think it's a muffineer. The holes are too numerous for salt. That, and it looks like a muffineer.

At that size, it is, as already said, a salt/pepper shaker (though I use one of similar size and style to sprinkle sugar on strawberries for Mom almost every day)...
