I am particularly in love with these because green and orange are my favorite colors.
#1 the bottom bead with the green in the center is glass. The rest are plastic? Any idea what kind and age?

#2 big stone plastic too? Kind? Possible age?

#3 Signed Western Germany are these carved Lucite? The white bead is kind of a gritty glass, porcelain? Possible age?

#4, 5 & 6 possibly Lucite? # 4 is broken but it appears the doohickeys that attach to the clasp are newer? Not sure if they are newer or were restrung. They are all purchased from the same seller. All as lots. I have more as well mostly old stuff. So idk. Just trying to hammer down the plastics.

#7 Signed Hong Kong. Lucite? Any idea of age?

    #1,2,&3 roughly 1960s
    #4 Late 60s early 70s.

We were importing from Hong Kong in I believe the 70s and after.

So would the number three style in pearls be 50's?

You mean you have something similar in pearls?
    Possibly 50s.
I was using the bright orange color for the 60s date.

Yes that is what I meant. I was reading about how they stopped using pearls were replaced with colorful plastics in the 60's

One more question. Is the Hong Kong choker supposed to be worn with the clasp in the front?

Hong Kong can be older here, of course, we imported from there way back. Those do all look late 60s/early 70s.

Everything or just the ones she cluttercloset mentioned?

Numbers 5 and 6 are more likely to be 80s. The findings are wrong to be much earlier. The rest are all probably mid 60s to early 70s.

I have always worn that style with the clasp in back... but now I'm waiting to hear what others say.

Well I guess I got my answer! LOL. Worn in the back. I thought it might look kind of cool in the front, with the mop on it.

I think they're all that early, even 5 and 6.

Don't remember that being a thing in the 1960s.
Think it was in the 1980s.

Yes we were importing from Hong Kong earlier than the 70s. However, not to the extent that we did at that time. Hong Kong replaced Japan as the major import area, then came Taiwan, now it's China.
Not that we stopped importing from any of the countries, just that the center of import changed. My opinion only.

Maybe someone bought them on ebay and resold them and they were not imported at all? Idk.

They are marked Hong Kong. If sold in their own country they wouldn't need to mark it.
For imports into the US, items have to be marked with country of origin.

Yea but they can still be from another country? No? Shipped here, sold on ebay? A country that did import from China.

    I suppose.
You're saying. It was made in Hong Kong, imported to say UK, someone in UK sold it on ebay and shipped it here?
Doesn't change the fact that it started in Hong Kong and was exported out.

I mean shipped here recently. Someone sold them and someone resold them... type of thing.
