Ran across some pics of my Mom's open salt collection while looking for something else, thought I'd share some of them: ~Cheryl
There's more than those - she's been collecting for decades, though she pretty much stopped a few years ago, limited herself to clear and swans, then picked up a few non-swan silver ones, so I gave her the few that I had in my collection. Have researched and cataloged all of them for her, the book is over at her house, but believe she's up over 500, with almost as many salt spoons. She likes swans, they are all over her house: ~Cheryl
Hi, Lordy your Mom does love swans. I like salts but I love the small intaglio ones. Your Mom reminds me of a friend who has thousands of ash trays. I need to dig up the photos of her "collection". greg
Love the collection - though I have to admit that very early this morning I awoke screaming "Get them off me! They are biting and pecking me! Sinuous necks and flapping feathery wings everywhere............. they're everywhere, they're EVERYWHERE, THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Oh Lordy, there's a PINK ONE!"
Hi Mansons, Your nightmare came true to my SIL. On her 50th birthday she woke up and looked outside. There were 50 large plastic pink flamingoes all over her yard. She hated with passion even one pink plastic bird. To find 50 of them pushed her off the edge. greg
Good freakin' jehosophat that's a few salts. I really can't say much - I'm a jewelry hoarder instead. Your mom's house looks like Swan lake left its prop department behind.
Hehe - her family and friends will have to take part of the blame, we all contributed (sort of the same way everyone gives me dragonflies). Mansons - you would be truly terrified if you could see the two-foot tall pink glass swan that resides on her credenza, it scares me a little... ~Cheryl
Dug out some of the ones I had left, look, a swan ! LOL ! Apparently I have more than 2 left ! I really need to go through every box and drawer around here !
