    Hey friends!

Another beautiful find I am struggling to identify. :/

It's very large and quite heavy. Beautiful hand painting. Is it a vase or urn or something else? It can be very new, old couple from Belgium had it for almost 50 years... Who made these and when?

    Thank you so much!
    Erik

I am sorry. It's about 38 cm tall (15 inches) with the lid.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I think it may be called an urn. I don't think it could be called a vase, since it has a lid and I don't think that vases do. Maybe somebody else knows some other names for this shape?

DizzyDaff Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

Another beautiful find @Erik Aunapuu ! This seems to be 'Capodimonte style' and they do refer to this as a lidded vase on their website. Though if you are searching for a match, Figtree is correct that you should include 'urn' as some will call it that. Saw one or two for sale even called 'ginger jar'. Without a potter's mark or stamp, not sure how you identify anything else on it.
Maybe you can find more artwork by the artist who signed under the flowers? Very pretty piece. You post some of the nicest finds. :) Good luck.

You are so kind, thank you so much @DizzyDaff  It really does remind me of some of the Capodimonte vases/urns, so your response really helped. :)
Thank you so much again! :joyful:
