Spanish Infanteria Button

Does anyone know any specifics around this. Just quickly searching online has thrown up others with the same crest design but none have the same shape as this one does. I was thinking along the lines of it being from an officers uniform because of the unusual size and maybe navy or is it a modern button?

 

There are 631 listings for Infantry buttons on this Spanish auction site. You'll want to take a look through. (I did but didn't see.) Navy buttons seem to have anchors. Should be able to date yours by Spanish coat of arms. I'll take a look for you.

Let's see... Yours is made up of the arms of the Kingdom of Castile, the Kingdom of Leon, the Kingdom of Granada, the House of Bourbon, the Pillars of Hercules and the Spanish Royal Crown. According to this, that's the Pillars of Hercules version, "a lesser or abbreviated" coat of arms, of the Spanish Monarch. But no information is provide as to usage and date.
