Spanish Revival Lanterns ?

    Wanted some input on dating and country of origin of these . . . just bought the example pictured - it has fully riveted construction (except the top of upper scrolls attached with screws). The socket is U.S. made 1920's w/ cloth cord (upper socket added later). I'm assuming this one is domestic and is a 1920's -30's piece. I'm guessing the later examples with welded construction are post WW2 and came from over seas... these also tend to be more ornate and have thinner metal from what I've seen. I know these lanterns aren't that desirable, but this ones nicely done... just needs wiring & glass. s-l1600 (3).jpg

    Could very well be American. A lot of this kind of thing was done in the 20s- 30s
