Speckles On Green Beads

    Jade, agate or whatever they are. Some of the dark speckles are natural inclusions but there are silverish tiny dots, like they are on the surface. Almost looks like there are small pits and they are filled with those.
    Any idea?

    Not really.
    Looks like BC Jade.
    I've got some in front of me with the same dark spotting.

    These are hard. Is not malachite much softer?
    Komokwa, if you look carefully there are two types of spots. I've seen the dark ones before but not the other ones. The darker one are more on the inside white the silverish ones more on the surface.

    Actually, under light they appear more like goldish.

    Might be nephrite jade with small pyrite inclusions - the large Asian grocery where I sometimes shop sells near identical prayer bracelets in various colors of 'jade' and other semi-precious stones for $5.95...

    British Columbia jade is Nephrite.....like this. like yours...
