'Staffordshire' figurine

    Picked this lass up in Buxton today. The decor looks right for Staffordshire but the large hole in the base would suggest slip casting so maybe later? I have read that slip casting was used in earlier pieces but not so much. She is quite small at 14cm tall.

    I’d think mid nineteenth. She’s in lovely condition.

    She’s got that genuine slightly primitive look which is tricky to fake.

    The pallette is very distinctive too. Especially that deep blue.
