Staffordshire? Lion Figure

    This looks like it may be Staffordshire? 3 1/2" tall and measures 6" x 3 3/4". Vent hole in the base and vent hole in the ear.

    It is not Staffordshire, but the good news is as you probably tell from the base it's still old! Staffordshire figures can be porcelain but not in this example.

    Its 19th Century and my guess would be French. I don't have any reliable source, only that a lot of sellers have listed similarly coloured porcelain as Paris Porcelain.

    Possibly a start for more research

    Thanks Nathan. It does look old. I will have to google images for Paris Porcelain!
