There were four of these Stalag Luft glasses in a TS today. I did not buy them. I would think they are from a reunion of POWs, however, I cannot find anything to confirm this.
What are the letters next to Stalag Luft. Also, I cannot find this emblem. Stalag Luft housed pilots from all the Allied Forces and there were more than just one camp. Any help would be appreciated? I think this is a match for the emblem

    Thanks Bronwen -

This afternoon I spent about three hours trying to sort out this glass. After I posted here, I started to search again not only did I find the emblem but also the 30th Stalag Luft III reunion was in Cincinnati. These glasses were at a Church TS in the Cincinnati Area.
Maybe I will go back in the morning.

Buyingtime777 you must be so proud of your Grandfather. We must never forget the sacrifice these brave men and women endured to assure our freedom.
I went back, purchased the glasses, and sent a message to the Stalag Luft III website asking if I could donate them to their organization.

    Amazing what these men endured.
My father made it home from WWII. Like many, he volunteered even before Pearl Harbor, as he believed our country needed to act. Bronze medal, and PTSD until he died at age 50. Always said he had a lot to be grateful for.

    Heroes all.

I just received an email from the Stalag Luft III group. In the morning I am mailing the tumblers to Dallas Texas and then they will be forwarded to the Stalag Luft III Museum in Poland. They do not have any of these glasses.

BTW Komokwa, I was asked if I new who they belonged to, which I don't.
