Featured Stand & Deliver - Old Gun

    Good afternoon everyone.

    My neighbour was rotavating the end of his garden (out in the middle of the British countryside) and he came across a rusty old gun.

    Can anyone tell me something about it? For example, age, make/model, etc.. It's in a sorry state so I imagine it's not valuable (?)

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    Wow!!! THAT has seen the BEST of it's days a LOOONG time ago.....I wonder how much can even be discovered from it!!! BUT a GREAT and fun find!!! My mind wants to travel to the Journey it has seen!!! I actually love the 'position' it was found in! Others will be along I'm sure with more substantial information for you!!!

    I agree! :) It was an amazing find! Maybe a distant relative of Dick Turpin used it? ;) I'm intrigued to find out more!

    There's nothing really to be found out. Likely date of manufacture 1880-1910. Was a low end model, single shot, breech loaded.
