Statue of kneeling girl

Has anyone seen something like this?
It is very light and kinda soft. I know very little about sculptures and would like to understand what it is.

What material? Could it be a plaster copy?

 

Possibly a thin layer of lighter plaster over grey plaster cast?

You can see the application of some material on her arm. Looks old to me...

Really unusually charming I saw quite a few others on etsy

 

All I can tell ya is that the hair style is 1840s...............though the dress style is a bit earlier I think

 

She is lovely.

Yes the hairstyle is 1840s, the dress could also be. That neckline might not be Regency (Empire in continental Europe), but inspired by Medieval and Renaissance styles, two of the 19th century Revival styles.
But that is the style, she was probably made fairly recently. I remember my parents buying a statue of a girl, made of the same kind of material, ca. 1974.

 

I also think recent and made of Hydrocal or a similar product.

 

Is it just my ever worsening eyes,or does she look slightly tinted? Like she had color at one time?
