Featured Sterling bowl,help with maker ?

    Hi all. Found this rather large bowl in hoodwill today.I took me forever to find the mark . Its 11 inches wide,2 1/4 deep .I tried to find the maker but no luck so far .If its of no import off to the scrapper it goes.Thats why i havent polished it yet!Any input is always appreciated.

    It doesnt seem particularly rare or special so that helps . Not terribly pretty either,but I bet Id think different if it was all purtied up .

    Definitely not a prize piece but an excellent find!!! Since you likely have very little invested I’d at least try selling it for over scrap online. If it doesn’t work you can always scrap it later. Well done!

    I think I'd sell for scrap, too. However, I also think I'd sit on it a while, and see if silver prices go up again.

    What if they go down though!?!?!? Ahhhhhh the never ending perilous nature of wagering on spot price is horrible. I for one will sit on the bulk of what I have in that hope. Just sell a bit here and there when the mood strikes. Already down almost $10 since covid high when I sold zero. Ugh.

    Yeah. I sold some back in '06, at about $8.00 per oz, and thought it was a great deal. Then it went WAY up in '11.
