The set belongs to my neighbor and was his mother's. Now that he's retired, he's going through all her stuff. Most of it has been run of the mill so far, but then he asks me about this sterling tea set. He has the Tea Pot, Coffee Pot, Cream and Sugar and Tray!!

I can't figure out the marks on the bottom. There are 3 initials F R C with the R likely being the last name. Couldn't find anything on that, but the neighbor's las name begins with R, so could it be the mother's initials, to ID it??

Then the words Sterling with a half moon (?) on the left and a goblet on the right? Anyone have any ideas who made it? And why do I think I've seen this pattern on a flatware set? DSCF8813.jpeg DSCF8814.jpeg DSCF8815.jpeg DSCF8816.jpeg DSCF8818.jpeg

    TIA!!

Thanks Kronos!! For some reason, I thought it was German but I was too focused on the initials during my search.
