    Isn't this adorable??

Virtually without damage (one or two minor pin dents here and there. It's 180-odd years old, give it a break!).

One of the four feet was wonky (front right one). A few good hammer-strikes straightened it out and it now stands upright without that pesky wobbling around. A lovely piece of early Victorian silverware :)

    Thanks everybody!!

Others thought it wasn't worth anything. I don't know why. They said something about the dents and the wonky foot and the spout didn't look right and whatever...The spout is fine as far as I can see.

I just made my first pot of tea with it. My mother insisted that I cannot sell this, and that it must remain in the family now!!

I'll compensate by selling off something else, I guess... :D

Hahaha!! I try to be very selective with my silverware these days. I'm very pleased with the purchase, though. I think what put off other buyers was the fact that this thing had a bent foot (which meant it would sit level). A bit of tinkering sorted that out post haste :p

    Oh, and here's the hallmarks:

The "RD" I assume, was Richard Devonshire, but I'm not 100% sure about that.
