Featured Sterling Silver Victorian Sugar Tongs

    Nothing too special. I found these for $4 at the local thrift shop today. Just sharing them here.

    Sterling silver Victorian sugar-tongs. Hallmarked LONDON STERLING 1896 FRANCIS HIGGINS III.

    Not bad for $4, huh?? Gonna be selling them...

    Sweet. Around here quite a lot of non US markings are often assumed to be silver plate it seems. Weighted sterling will have a high price tag but English sterling often slips by.

    Gorgeous sugar nips! I would really like to justify having a pair of these. But they would never get used (like my lemon tongs).

    I'm surprised to see these featured. I honestly didn't think they were anything special apart from the metal they're made of.
