    I bought this as I was curious about the mark :), and I thought the pattern was Classy.
    There is a B on the back of the bowl, is that an apprentice mark or something else?

    it looks like a serpent head, but let me know if it gets oriented another way.

    According to Rainwater, the B was a weight indicator. B for "trade" or "medium."

    Thank you, that’s funny. When I opened it I thought it felt heavyish.
