Stiffel lamp

Can anyone tell me anything about this Stiffel lamp? Year made? Value? The lamp and lampshade are in pristine condition. Thank you.

Stiffel made thousands of styles. I would say from the cord that this one looks on the more recent end of things.

Stiffels are well made lamps and do have resale, but the only Stiffel pieces that are standouts value-wise lately are the 1950s/60s ones, pole lamps, etc. that really have a distinct mid-century modern look. It is all about the look, less about the year. Yours is more classic in style.

I think the identical one in the link should give you some sense of market value. I did notice that the linked one has a shade that is marked "Stiffel", so you might check to see if yours has that for comparison purposes.

 

Agree that it's all about the look! My first gut feeling was 1970s, but now I think this could be as late as 1980s or 90s but still in the MCM style.
