Stone plate with turtle design - not sure what I have here

    Not sure where to start on this item. It appears to be made of stone and has a turtle design inlaid on the top. It measures just under 10 inches in diameter and weighs 2 pounds 9 ounces. No marks, although there are some scratches on the underside, along with natural veins and color variations. Can anyone tell me more about it? Thanks! ... Dave
