    Hi all:

    I'm wondering if the piece in the center—which is about 2.5 lbs and 6.25 x 4.75"—is an antique Chinese bottle vase (or perhaps a modern studio one done in the style of)? The plum to eggplant-colored glaze puts me in mind of flambe-glazed pieces.

    The other two pieces (the larger is about 2 lbs and 6.5 x 3.5" . . . the smaller, 1.25 lbs and 3.75 x 2.5") were found as a set (one was nestled in the other). The glazes look the same, but, as you can see, the bottom of the smaller piece is different. I have more stoneware from "TK" somewhere in my residence, but I've yet to discover his or her identity.

    Thanks for the continued feedback,

    —Dude

    The bottle isn't Chinese, clay is not right and neither is the (very well done) glaze. Studio potter.

    Agree - appears to be studio pottery.

    @dude
    Just searched your threads to see what I missed from yesterday.
    Was looking for the one about your avatar. Didn't find anything.
    Looks like California pottery, is it?

    Not my piece. Clipped it from the net somewhere. I forget the maker.

    What style vase you would call it? Would like to research.
