STORAGE AUCTION FIND! BEAUTIFUL OLD PAINTING, BUT NEED HELP WITH SIGNATURE

I found this in a storage unit a friend & I won a few days ago - it was the reason I bid on the unit. It is a beautiful, large, palette style painting of a european? city street scene.

The closest I can make out the signature to be is M. Castro? or Castrop?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Don't think signature matters much as appears to be a decorative painting from the 1950s. Popular scene, Notre Dame from the left bank in Paris.

I wonder if its Maurice Castell?
