  1. First time i have seen one of these, from what i gather its a nurses buckle.

I thought it maybe silver, but there's no hallmark just some marking i cant make sense of.

    Why a nurse's buckle?
It appears to be a standard style for a lady's buckle.

Looks like is says 2 of 4., or maybe Rofy

I can't decide what time period. Could be older or could be today.

    Ok
Not at all familiar with that.
    Hopefully someone else will know.

What country did you find this in?

I have to say ... no idea. The writing looks familiar, but it's not enough of a sample; it looks like one of the Semitic languages, just don't ask me which. And I'm probably wrong.

They do ofen get called nurses' buckles. Might be Arabic.

Though the form wasn't originally designed for use by nurses, they were a favorite, and they can be found in pictures of nurses dating back at least to the late 19th century (I've some images, but not sure where), and well into the 20th, and can still be found new in the in U.K., but more as presentation gifts to nursing graduates.

    Here's a new one: https://www.silvergroves.co.uk/rounded-nurse-buckle

  9. I found this one in the UK, id really like to know if the markings on the back indicate Solid silver, as the 1 listed on eBay suggests

Indian would make sense, we imported a great deal. If it's silver, it's likely to be lower grade than sterling.
