Strange signet

Anyone have an idea what this stone is?
It seems very old, but I have no idea. Found in Greece on the island of Crete many years ago.

My DH says: "This looks like the frescoes in Pompeian brothels. Historians think that foreign sailors, who didn't speak Latin, could just point at what they wanted."

 

Regardless of the imagery. Any idea what it might be?

 

brings a whole new meaning to a porn ring.

 

The Romans were vulgar sods. This looks like a nice intaglio glass seal ring.

 

A warning would have been good. You never know if kids are browsing the site as mine sometimes do.

 

And here I missed it. Did it involve a satyr by any chance? What did the material look like that led to conclusion it was glass? Ancient glass or modern? Ring, ditto?

 

darkish, reddish, translucent, a little shine, but OH not the same subject matter as the example here:

 

Do we think OP ran away?. Maybe that was the intention to shock and run.
Shame as with a little forethought and more discreet photos it would have been an interesting ring to learn about.

 

So a modern glass impression of what was likely enough to have been an ancient composition, unless it featured Stormy Daniels.

There were many with satyrs, goats, Priapus, genitalia...

It was those Hellenized Romans you had to watch out for.
