I have a feeling this little fellow may have been done by a studio potter. I thought I would take a chance to see if any of you knowledgeable folks have a clue. He is very well done. Signed HW. Measures about 5" long x 3" high x 3" wide. He came in a box lot here in central NC. I posted it in a FB Studio Pottery group and someone else had a similar signed the same found in OH. Unfortunately no one had any ideas as to who HW is.[IMG] HWBird.JPG HWBird2.JPG HWBird3.JPG HWBird4.JPG HWBird7.jpg [IMG]

Thanks Jivvy & komokwa. I haven't been able to find anything searching HW pottery bird. HW stone bird. I did find some birds similar that were from Tonala? Mexico.

I believe it is Mark Hines. Your letters are just backwards.

I wasn't able to find anything with this mark as Mark Hines. Most items I found of his were black ink stamped

unless it's a different Mark Hines, it's not Mark Hines.

I think HW is correct, but I also believe that the tail of the swoop says 76, so...

Great site Bev but didn't have any luck looking under W. Mark Hines wasn't even listed on the site.
