Picked this up today. It's quite distinctive and unusual so I had to buy it..it's about 19cm Ø. I've found similar things online but there's that much out there, I couldn't be certain of anything. Elsterwerda, Sigfried Möller etc.

At least it's not LIGHT beer. I barely drink any more. Not sure I ever had an Amstel, but lagers were never my thing.

Have you any idea on the age and origin of the beer?

In all honesty my mum gave it me when I visited. I used to always get a cup of tea until lock down. When things started opening up again and we were privileged enough to be allowed to sit in someone else's garden in summer, she started offering a can of beer on the drinks menu. It has stuck ever since.

Maybe I should stick to Google lens. It's less salty :woot:

    :hilarious:

After lock down probably everything tasted better. If that was possible with Amstel, maybe I should have tried eating Brussels sprouts after lock down .... :D

I like Amstel so leave it alone. Maybe you should try it when you are not brushing your teeth. I do prefer Staropramen and Budvar though. Or a nice Belgian trappist dark beer.

I used to be a dark beer type myself. I almost wanted to be able to chew it.
