The person who signed this piece had lovely penmanship - so nice & clear - so why can't I read the name????

There's baby powder on the mark, to make it show better. The item is a 5" tall, single candle holder.

    Thanks for your input!

That original stick is very like Bill Campbell's stuff. Wonder if he copied it. ;)

Could be or could be the other way round. It looks like they lived in the same state, Litsinger was a teacher and set up his pottery studio in 1971 while Campbell set his up in 1980. Oh the mysteries of life!

I do have a piece of Campbell pottery around here somewhere but I'd not heard of Litsinger before.

Thanks again for your input, SIS and Owned!

SIS, the photo you found of "probably Ed Litsinger" bowls remains the only one I can find, too. I have a feeling he must have had at least some local popularity, but I'm just not finding examples of his work.

His name is listed as having showed & sold ceramics at various arts & crafts fairs, particularly in the 1970's in PA & NY, but that's almost all I could find.

    Curious & curiouser!
