Studio Pottery Cat Help

Hi Folks,
I'm hoping someone will know the maker of this cool cat - he is 3 1/2"L x 2 1/2"H. The mark looks like LG, or maybe LC or LB - I'm not finding anything.
I know studio pottery is hard to ID but thought I'd give it a try

I don't know but I think the first letter could possibly be a "C" for search purposes.

 

I see "c s " ? Cute little fellow .

 

It almost looks like a take off of Laurel Burch. Notice the eyes, the way the nose and eyebrows circle the eyes.

She was a street artist who started in the 60s on the streets of San Francisco. Don't know if she ever did any pottery. Can't find anything older than the production line cats.
I know that she had a completely different line of jewelry that she sold on the streets that was really different than what was commercialized.

Yes, I thought this had the look of Laurel Burch. That is interesting, I didn't know she was a street artist. Shame she died so young, she was very talented.

 

Found the maker - he is a local potter, Bentley LeBaron Denman Island

 

I never would have guessed it being that new or from anywhere but a Scandinavian country. Reminds me of Marianne Starck cats.

I know, I didn't think it would turn out to be local. Another potter from the Island recognized it on Facebook and let me know.
