Featured Sugar bowl? Asian ?

    So many questions ! Google search has once again given me zilch,so I appeal to you alls search skills . Its 7 inches high to the finial,6 wide. It feels like there are ridges inside,but looks slip molded. Transfer printed,so Im wondering if it isnt European. Any and all input is gratefully received.

    Looks like transferware or possibly stencil. Design is vaguely Asian but I am not convinced.

    I agree with Bakersgma that it is transfer printed. Decoration and shape make it Japanese and early 20thc IMO.

    I would not exclude European Japonism from 1880s onwards.

    I agree with Matt* and AJ and Bakersgma that it is a stenciled Japanese version of the famous Chinese prunus ginger jar with ICe brekaing during spring morning.

    I had meant Matt and indeed is early 20th century.
